Curls for the Community is on a mission to make natural hair care accessible to everyone. We collect and distribute gently used products to those in need, creating a bridge between community, confidence, and curls.

By partnering with local stylist, barbers, and businesses we aim to restore dignity and self-love through hair care-one curl at a time.

Daiva Wilson

Daiva Wilson is a beauty entrepreneur, community advocate, and natural hair care specialist dedicated to creating accessible, empowering experiences for textured hair wearers. As the founder of both Day By Dai Hair Care and Curls for the Community, she bridges education, entrepreneurship, and equity—providing free, hair product pop-ups across Austin and beyond. With a background in agribusiness, customer success, and salon experience, Daiva brings strategic vision and heart-centered leadership to every initiative she leads.

Tuvara Holliday

Tuvara Holliday is a seasoned Human Resources professional with over 20 years of experience in employee benefits and retirement plan management. A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Public Health, she currently works at Elevance Health, where she focuses on enhancing employee well-being through strategic HR initiatives.

J. Miles Hammock

Miles Hammock is a financial strategist and community-builder with experience in banking, business analysis, and financial planning. A Tennessee State University alum with a BBA in Economics & Finance, he’s currently pursuing a Master’s in Data Science. Passionate about empowering underserved communities, Miles combines analytical insight with a heart for education, culture, and connection to support sustainable impact at Curls for the Community.

Cidney Washington

Cidney Lee is a Michigan native and natural hair specialist with over seven years of experience in the beauty industry. Known for her focus on holistic wellness and authentic self-expression, she uses education, community events, and mentorship to empower others through natural hair care. Cidney’s passion for beauty, wellness, and purpose shines through everything she does—from the salon chair to the community spaces she helps build.

Community Engagement

Gentry Hunter

Gentry Hunter is an educator, consultant, and advocate with over seven years of experience supporting families and organizations through coaching, training, and community engagement. As the founder of Clear Bloom Associates and the Community Engagement Chair for Curls for the Community, she blends her expertise in education and marketing to build strong partnerships and inclusive spaces. Gentry is currently pursuing dual licensure in counseling, furthering her mission to promote connection, clarity, and sustainable change.
